quickmx is a program to save your sound card settings if you loose speech at
any time. and it has helpt me out a few times. I think though that now
Victor and I are in the same boat since now when I re start my PC I get no
sound at start up eather. from Mich Verrier.

Thanks for your suggestion, but upon further inspection, I found that
the
Braille option was set to no display.
Funny thing is, I switched from automatic detection to manual detection,
and
now I'm not getting that same error message and the dialog box.
Having said that, the elimination of one problem did not solve the
original
problem.
Still anyone with further ideas?
