If you are serious about recording and you don't want to hear JAWS 
talking then you will need an additional sound card assigned to JAWS.

  I have no idea if this is Windows Sound Recorder, but it is already
  installed in my windows vista laptop.
  To get through it I have to go to programs, press enter to 
accessories,
  right arrow to ease of access, and press S to sound recording.
  I read the easy to follow instruction, I tried and it works fine 
except that
  it records the JAWS talking as well.
  I trie to press Ctrl key quick when I press space bar or enter to 
start
  recording, but I still get tiny bits of JAWS voice.
  The recorded file is automatically saved as WMA.
