I wouldn't go to the extreme of adding an aditional soundcard. If your 
microphone is picking Jaws (or any other sound in the envirement, for that 
matter), you might want to try using headphones: that way, Jaws will speak only 
to you, and the mic won't pick it. That's what I do, and it works.
If you're still getting Jaws even with headphones, then your recorder program 
is probably set to record from System Mixer, thus picking Jaws and other 
internal sound from your computer. If this is so, the only thing you'll need to 
do is change the setting to record from Microphone. I'll double check to tell 
you where exactly that is, but I believe you should try the headphones first.
