David, Thanks I was in the right church but the wrong pew. I checked to expand think it would correct the problem but just replaced the spoken word of collapsed with expanded. Earlier today I checked email and everything was normal. I powered down the computer for about two hours. When started it up I now hear collapsed before unread. When I delete I receive a warning that parts of the conversation will be deleted.
