Hi Alan,
Here is one quick way you might try to create a playlist using Windows Media Player 11: 


1.  Navigate to the folder where the music is that you want to add to the 
playlist.

2.  Select the audio files that you want included in the play list.

3.  When the songs that you want included are selected use the application 
key to bring up a context menu, and then use down arrow key to the "add to 
Windows Media player list" and press enter key.

4.  When Windows media player starts playing use CTRL+P to pause it.

5.  Press Alt+F in Windows Media player and use down arrow to the "save now 
playing list as" choice and press enter key.

6.  Name your play list in the edit box.

7.  use tab key to the "files of type" choice and you can use up and down 
arrow keys to make your selection.  You probably will want the first choice, 
which is ".wpl."
8.  Check to see where the play list will be saved.  I am not using XP but I 
think that using Alt+I will move you to the "save in" box or you can use tab 
key until you find it.  If using Vista you can route JAWS to PC, do a page 
up, and then use down arrow one time to read the line that shows where your 
play list will be saved.

Hello Folks,

I did not mean to start a thread on Winamp verses Window Media Player, but 
since it is started I will tell you my experiences on why I did not 
install Winamp!



A good friend, a person in the know, sent me winamp5541_full with 
instructions on how to install it.



However, so many folks on one of the   list groups I am on, which includes 
this gentleman who first responded to my message, I think it is Chris 
Hallsworth, kept writing messages to the list, a lot and lot of messages, 
stating this version was not very JAWS friendly,  in fact it was full of 
problems for a JAWS user, and one should use  an older version winamp535 
or something like that.



Well, they just scared me off, and I just decided to not install either, 
the new version, or the old version, but stick with Microsoft's product, 
the program they support and which came with my computer, Windows Media 
Player.


That's it!

End of Story, and I hope end of this thread.


Thanks for all who contributed to sending me training texts and sites 
where I can  learn more about this Windows Media Player program.



David I think sent me one such tutorial,  and I thank him, it looks very 
in-depth, but it is something like 55 pages, and I intend to study it, but 
in the meanwhile, I just thought some one could give me a simple 1 2 3 on 
how to create a playlist.

He said he didn't want to try Winamp.  It would be better to try Winamp,
nonetheless, and in that way have a choice.

the question was about creating a playlist in windows media player, not
winamp, which does not imply there is anything wrong with Winamp.

I just went through a tutorial for Windows Media Player 11, but it is not

JAWS format.

Can some one Please give me instructions for creating a Play List with

I am using JAWS 9.0.56,, XP-Home and W M Player 11, and I have spent 
hours

trying to figure this out.

Apparently W M Player is not very JAWS Friendly, but I do not want to try
that Winamps program.
Up till now, I was content to play one song at a time, but now, I want to
play the entire album or a couple of albums at one time!
So, then I need to create a "Play List".
