Thanks for this steps. But if I'm using eloquence and want to switch automaticly to a another profile using sapi5 voices in perticular program, is it possible?

You really don't need Speech Profiles to do that. But if you want to set up a profile with your desired person, rate and such it would not be a bad idea to set up that first. Try the following to set your desired voice settings to an application:

1. Open the application in which you want the different voice, like a Real Speak Solo Direct voice.

2. Press the JAWS +j key combination to open the JAWS menus.

3. Press o for options.

4. Press v for Voices.

5. Press g for Global voices.

6.Press the Down arrow to select the Modify application <current application name here> radio button.

7. Press Tab once and then select a profile. If you have set up a desired profile, you can select it from this list. If not, you can select the default Real Speak Solo Direct Profile.

8. Continue through the dialog and select your desired person, rate and so on. Press the Ok button when satisfied.

Now every time you switch to that application, the voice should change.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Voice Profiles

Hi List,

I'm trying to get used to these new voice profiles in JFW10, but I'm clearly
not doing something right.

I'm trying to make the default synthesiser eloquence and change it to a
realspeak solo voice when switching to a specific programme.

I followed the instructions in the help menu, but whenever I close the
programme, the voice I've switched too remains active. Is there a way to
make the voices switch automatically based on programme?

Regards
Kerry
