Hi Alex & everyone, JAWS 10 announces how many messages are in each folder as I arrow down the Navigation pane in Outlook 2007. I'm not sure why it doesn't work when the Navigation pane is set to Normal view, but you could do the following:
Go to the VIEW tab and press N to open the Navigation submenu. Set the Navigation pane to off. When you want to use the Navigation pane, press Control Y. The pane will appear and announce the number of messages correctly as you arrow down the list. When you enter on a folder, the pane will disappear until you Control Y it again. I like this method because it reduces clutter.
