Yes, if you don't want any speech at all, with all versions ofJAWS, all
you
need to do, is press ctrl-insert f4; you'll get a message asking if you
want
to exit JAWS and there's an okay button; just press enter and JAWS will no
longer speak. If you don't want it to turn off, just press escape and JAWS
will continue to run.
