If you have no sound (and that is separate from JAWS No Speech): In the Run dialog, type sndvol32; then tab once, and hit the home key to increase master Volume to 100%; and then tab once to the Mute All checkbox, which should be unchecked. press the spacebar to change its state to unchecked. perhaps now sound is restored. You can now adjust the volume, taking care *at all times* not to check any of the mute checkboxes in these dialogues.
