That's very true Sarah. Also, for the first time, Windows 7 requires less
hardware specifications than previous versions! Before it was always the
case that subsequent Windows versions required more hardware
specifications,
thus making transitioning from one Windows to the next difficult, if not
impossible.

Sarah, we did state many times that JAWS 10 and even JAWS 9 to some
extent
will work fine under Windows 7. This is in fact the first for Microsoft
because previous Windows you couldn't just install your existing
version,
because it just wasn't compatible. But with Windows 7, software that is
compatible with Vista is also compatible with 7. Same is true for
hardware
to some extent.

Windows 7 sounds nice, except that I have no sma's and won't be able to
afford the next version of jwas that would have to come out in order to
make win7 work with the screen reader. Also, there is the fact that now

using my internship computer to emial but can't really do much else on
it
as far as like with my ipod and other stuff because I am only supposed

use it for when I get my internship.

That is what I am scaredc about. I mean I like xp and haven't had any
problems, and I agree that you have to move with the technology, but

I have had Vista since last August and twice now it has gone down

corrupt operating system failure. Unfortunately that wipes Jaws too

although there is a recovery feature available on the Lenovo
computers

need to access it through the BIOS which doesn't talk even when an

I had the option at the time of XP Pro which I didn't choose it just

wrong not to move with the evolving technology. Apparently Windows 7
will
be
a much lighter and more efficient operating system. Go figure, an

system which doesn't consume the bulk of the resources of your

hmmm, vista isn't the bear people let it to be, i have a vist home
