I don't know if you fixed your problem.
This is what my friend did.
1 in outlook express
2 ctrl shift o
3 ctrl tab to the read tab
4 tab to the span box and put it on 5

I occasionally experience this problem. Usually, I simply restart the
program and the problem goes away. Did you try going to the Edit menu and
checking the option to mark all messages as read?

I'm using Jaws 10. with XP Pro, the problem is all messages say unread
even when I read them.
