The reason Jaws will be saying .... Is because the end of the file name is not visible on the screen for some reason. This is probably because either your Explorer Windows is not maximised or possibly you are in detailed view which attempts to cram a lot of information in several columns in a window. You may also have this problem if you have icon view selected .
Try first maximising the Explorer window by pressing alt space and then x. If this does not work go to your view menu and make sure that list is selected as your view setting rather than detailed or icon. Once you are happy with this change you can go to Tools and select Folder Options. Press Control Tab to the View tab in this dialogue box and you can find a button here where you can reset all your Explorer windows to this view setting. A Netbook is a mini-laptop so laptop keystrokes will work too. In Windows Explorer, is there a way to make JAWS read the full name of a file instead of reading a bit then say dot dot dot. In order to hear the super long file name, I have to pretend that I want to rename a file by pressing Function key 2. Thank you for any help.
