Hello Siew Ling:

There use to be a keystroke that would remove the truncation of columns when in list view in Windows Explorer, but I don't remember if it was just in earlier versions of Windows or also in XP. Try CTRL with the number pad plus key and see if that along with maximizing the window will work for you.

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Making JAWS read out the full file name instead ofsaying dot dot dot

Hi,

I'm running JAWS 9 on my Netbook running XP Home. A Netbook is a
mini-laptop so laptop keystrokes will work too.

In Windows Explorer, is there a way to make JAWS read the full name
of a file instead of reading a bit then say dot dot dot. In order to
hear the super long file name, I have to pretend that I want to rename
a file by pressing Function key 2.

 Thank you for any help.

Regards,
Siew Ling
