I have the free Avast installed and it's definitely running, but I am not sure how to use its features. Is there a tutorial on this program, or can someone tell me how to get started? I have been told, but not in detail, that first something must be set up in config manager to maximize its usefulness with Jaws. Is this correct? I did hit context menu in Avast and supposedly started a scan, but I couldn't tell if it was really scanning, not even with Jaws cursor routed. All it showed on my screen was a simple interface thing and then the unflattering word "dummy checkbox not checked"--what this means I don't know. I must not have it set up right, because a friend says she can find her scan button, etc., and I don't really see buttons. Because a sighted person set it up for her, she doesn't really know what to tell me about getting it started in an accessible way. I prefer to do what I can for myself so am hoping for suggestions.
