Hi, You could use ITunes to convert all your music into mp3 format. This would be useful if you have a big collection because it will do the converting for you, but I guess then it also depends on what format your current music is in. In the media center edition of Windows XP I have, (which is very outdated by the way, so I'm not sure if this advice will help), there's something called Windows Audio Converter which is accessible in the file menu if you select a group of files or just point to a single one. This will convert your music to mp3 also. Finally, a sound editor such as Gold Wave will convert audio files, but if you don't want to spend money, and would only use it for converting files then there's no sense in using that. I'm sure there are free options besides ITunes, but I don't use them, so perhaps someone else more knowledgeable on the subject will respond with that particular information.
