Lexmark influenced you to choose this model for your last purchase?

I have used both a stand alone  and now use a multi-function unit. I have 
always been a HP user with computers and peripherals but I use a Lex Mark 
multi-function unit 5600  now and it works flawlessly.
When you get a multi-function unit it comes with several software programs 
and I fine that you need only to install the installation disc for it to do 
the task that you need for scanning text.
All the other software is for creating cards and banners and the like and 
usually isn't Jaws friendly and has nothing to do with      using Open Book 
and Kurzweil. Hope this helps, Steve.
