Here's something else to try for the my required ikons. This works in XP but I don't know about other versions. Windows stores your program and ikonsin one of two "desktop" files in either All Users or the "your name" user file in the Document and Settings folder. You can cut and paste the files from one "Destktop" folder to the other and then do a "sort by name" in the way David describes. The fact that programs sort into either of those folders is one reason why the "sort by name" doesn't get all the available files.
It would be interesting to know if this works in Vista or Windows 7. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2010 1:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] desktop Note that there are certain icons like your my documents that it won't change as they are stored in a seperate location on your hard drive, but it does work for most other icons.
