Brian, I am very interested in your post regarding Dito. I have always wanted to be able to copy a bunch of files, e.g., music files from various directories and then paste them as a group, for example onto a CD or MP3 player. It sounds like this program is what I need. If so, I would also ve very interested in getting a copy.
Thanks. The system requirements for the program show that the program works with XP, but I am using it with Vista without any trouble. If you have any problem with it you might try running it in compatibility mode. The program lets a person place different types of items on the clipboard together. You can copy files along with text from documents. When you paste items you can paste the files in folders and text that has been copied in documents. Pressing CTRL+C copies the files and text as separate items on the clipboard. You can bring up Ditto by using CTRL+the tilde key. When you use that keystroke you are placed in a list of items that have been copied. You can use up and down arrow to the item you want to paste and press enter key when ready to paste the item. If one of the items is a large block of text then the list will show a one line item, but you can use F3 and tab to an edit box where the entire text is shown. Pressing escape takes you back to the list. Pressing escape from the list of items on the clipboard will close Ditto. Selecting items in the list of entries in Ditto and pressing delete will delete the items. CTRL+A will select all items and delete will then clear all items from the list. Let me know if you might want to try the program and I'll put it up on my Skydrive page. Take care.
