There is, I think, a way to do that, but you need to delve deep into the registry. Normally, OE will prompt for compaction after every one hundred cycles.

Allowing OE to compact is actually good. OE stores its folders as files, and the individual messages are marked within each file. Compacting is analogous to defragging your hard-disk. It will help OE be more stable, and it needs all the help it can get.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

I have Windows XP pro, Jaws 11 latest version.
OE constantly prompts me to compact email messages. Anyway to stop this annoyance?
