Hi Russ,

In the General Tab of msconfig, after you have unchecked items in your startup, if you want to prevent items from starting up automatically you need to choose the Selective Startup radiobutton. When you next restart your computer, you will get a message (which JAWS will read) asking you are you sure you want selective startup, and whether you want to be notified every time that your startup is in selective startup? You would normally then tab to the "don't show me this message again" checkbox and check it with spacebar, and OK your choice.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] MSconfig turning of start up programs

   Hi everyone,

I understand how to get all the way to unchecking a program in the start up page in MSconfig.
From this point, I can tab to two buttons, enable all and disable all.

If I select the disable all, will it just disable the program I have just unchecked?

Thanks,
Russ
