Hi Russ,
If you tab to the, disable all, it will disable all items from starting up.
Once you have disabled an item, tab to the apply, and spacebar that.
Next, tab to the close, and spacebar that, you will be prompted to restart
the computer, spacebar that as well.
When the computer restarts, you will get a System Configuration Utility
dialogue,
tab to the checkbox, and spacebar that, then tab to the okay , and spacebar
that and you are done.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Tom,
I want to make certain I have this correct.
If I uncheck an item in the start up page, and I tab to the disable all
button, will it only disable that one I unchecked?

Yes.
Disable all will do what it says. Disable all the programs, even if you
just checked them.
For fastest start up, you will want to uncheck as many programs as
possible.
Windows will make sure that a minimum of programs are automatically
checked
for it to run.
Then make sure your antivirus is checked.
Uncheck everything else.
Then, if you find something does not work right, you can always go back in
and check that program to start up.
Blessings,
Tom

Hi everyone,
I understand how to get all the way to unchecking a program in the start
up
page in MSconfig.
From this point, I can tab to two buttons, enable all and disable all.
If I select the disable all, will it just disable the program I have just
unchecked?
Thanks,
Russ
