If you're using Eloquence through your main sound card, your Windows volume
control controls both the audio running through your app and through JAWS.

Eventually, and when I grow up I'm going to figure out how to use multiple
sound cards, one for JFW and one for my audio production apps. The problem
to get more technical has to do with something called ACIO drivers...
