I no longer have access to an xp machine to toy with that.. I do not believe that it can be done.

I have two sound cards on my XP machine, and wish to make music come
out of one, which I have now and JAWS comes from the other one.
However, the sounds that are made when playing games or the regular
windows sounds such as the boot-up, come out of the one with the
music. I'd like the sounds, besides music, to come out of the one
with JAWS. I wear a headset most of the time, so if I'm playing a
game, I have to have my speakers on as well.
Suggestions?

I believe it is also possible in Vista as well if memory serves.

In Windows7 this is possible, but not in XP with only one sound card.

Short answer. No.

If you're using Eloquence through your main sound card, your Windows
volume control controls both the audio running through your app and
through JAWS. Sorry.

Eventually, and when I grow up I'm going to figure out how to use
multiple sound cards, one for JFW and one for my audio production
apps. The problem to get more technical has to do with something
called ACIO drivers...
