This looks like a good idea if you have JAWS12 and is worth trying, say,
in programs where JAWS Placemarkers can be set.
The fact is that otherwise we must use the keyboard as a somewhat
different means to an end than the mouse user would.

Hi Kelby,
You didn't indicate which version of Jaws you are running so,
hopefully you
are running Jaws12. Below is a note I have saved but, the steps below
will
only work in Jaws12, & I am not sure if the will work with any
documents /
Files / Books / programs other than MS Word.

Do the following;
In jaws 12 and not earlier
At the start of the area you wish to work with
Control + windows key + k, this will put a place mark at this point.
Now, move curser to the end of the text you wish to mark / work with
and do
a insert + spacebar + m this selects the area from the place mark to
the end
place mark
Now you can copy paste and other things to this area.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

Brief question from a first-timer. Is there a way to block
text--as in multiple paragraphs--for selection in a document with
JAWS? Like highlighting a certain section of thedocument that is
not just a line, word or paragraph for copying and/or cutting?
