My external drive also says eject unavailable when plugged into the computer.

Thank you David. I went in to Windows Explorer and selected the Elements drive and under application key and found open and properties but no eject. Will check again. Under Windows Explorer it said Elements closed. I thought I should leave it closed, is that correct?
