Hi Trouble,
Here is what I have for my C drive:
Type: Local Disk
File system: NTFS
Used space: 52,663,865,344 bytes 49.0 GB
Free space: 67,301,842,944 bytes 62.6 GB
Capacity: 119,965,708,288 bytes 111 GB
With that many free space, do you think that I can increase the
virtual memory and doing so would it prevent the message from
appearing again? Here is what I found in performance under systen in
the control panel:
Virtual Memory
Drive [Volume Label] Paging File Size (MB)
C: 3072 - 3072
Paging file size for selected drive
Drive: C:
Space available: 67255 MB
I am aware that I cannot use anymore ram on my XP computer.
Thanks for any suggestions. It will be greatly be appreciated.
Take care.

With 3 gig of ram you really can't add any more that xp will use.
Besides of cleaning out some on the task tray. You can also make
sure you have no programs in the background like virus, spyware,
backup, or defragger running. Another thing you can look at is how
much you have left on the c:drive. If you get low on space you can
see those kinds of messages.

Hi,
I am using windows XP with 3 GB ram with latest Jaws 12.
I was listening live to a NFL football game today on my computer
when I heard a sound, but it didn't sound like the sound you
get with a fatal error.
I lost Jaws and my wife told me that the screen stated a message
low on virtual memory. She closed the screen and after that I got
another message something to do with bector and Internet explorer 8
for which I have no idea what that means.
I don't recall any other problems with IE8 and I had only the home
page of the radio station and a second page for the audio opened.
For what it is worth, here is the URL of the radio station. When I
got the page, I pressed enter on listen live.
http://www.espn980.com/
Does anyone have any idea what caused the error and what should I
do? Even after my wife got me back to the desktop, Jaws was stilll
not talking. So, I aborted Jaws (insert key+Windows key+F4) and use
the shortcut key to bring back Jaws.
Any help and suggestions will greatly be appreciated. Take care.
