I had the same problem that you describe. I have windows 7 professional and jaws 12.0 home edition. With windows 7 professional you also have to have jaws professional. I tried to install jaws 13.0 and wound up installing jaws 13 in 40 minute mode and I called freedomscientific to help me get everything straightened out.I cannot upgrade jaws 13 on this machine without purchasing jaws professional or downgrading windows 7 to home edition so I can install jaws home edition. I hope you can understand what I am saying .

I downloaded it from the FS site and, when I inserted the authorization disk, was greeted with an auto play dialogue that I've never seen before and I don't know if my inability to use it properly had anything to do with the activation error I received later on in the process. I think it said the number was invalid. How is the thing supposed to be dealt with? Other than uninstalling and starting over with the J13 CD/DVD, how do I try again? Will J13 run on XP Home? At least maybe I can find out if the authorization disk is the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
