It seems pretty consistent if I shut it all down via "End Program"
and end the process as well, a couple three times, it then wil open
up the options. I have it defaulting to my email attachment
directory where the newspapers come in so not like it's trying to
scan my entire computer. And I had waited as well to see if it is
populating or buffering the books to show, but that didn't seem to
help. I should have mentioned I am using Win7 64 bit. At least I know
I'm not the only one with an issue, so perhaps it is a systemic issue
beyond my /our system.

I experience the same behavior with this program running in Windows7. It
only occurs when I attempt to open certain books from bookshare, however.
On one of them it simply crashes and won't open the book at all. I've
re-downloaded the book several times thinking that it was corrupted during
the download, but I'm convinced that the problem is either with the book
it's self, or FS Reader.

Yes, I believe however that it is searching for every playable file on your
system when it announces no response, it takes quite a while. Try just
leaving for a while longer and see.
