Good call gents. That is exactly what was causing the sounds in Word. That
option never crossed my mind.

Try the following;
1. Open a Word document, press Alt + T for tools, & press the letter O for
options
2. Find your General Page.
3. Tab down to, Provide feedback with sound, uncheck this box if it's
checked, & press enter to save your changes / close.

It should be [pointed out that Word has its own sounds as well, for when
you get to the top or bottom of a file there, particularly if you
installed a version of office Sounds or have turned sound notifications
on.
