For Outlook 1. Open outlook and click the "View" tab. 2. Click on "Reading Pane".
3. Select "Options" from the pop-up menu that appears. 4. With the Reading Pane window open, uncheck "Mark items as read when viewed in the Reading Pane" and click ok. I hope this helps. I just did this myself. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Norman King Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2012 6:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] unread email in outlook Hi. There are settings in JAWS that control what labels (like UNRD) are spoken. So the best you can do would be to go through the JAWS settings. I have an issue where when I arrow through emails, the message says unread, but when I arrow back up passed previous messages I haven't opened, jaws doesn't say unread anymore. How do I stop this I only want the message to become read when I press enter to open the message, not when the cursor lands on it once and moves away. Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated. >From Andrew For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
