Hi Dave, Well I think I found what I need for this. I couldn't find a setting
to change but I did find a line of code that when commented out stopped the
message type.
Below is what I changed in the OutLook2010.jss file:
void Function SayFocusedWindow()
var
handle hWnd
If gbWordIsWindowOwner Then
;bissett
; SayFocusedWindow()
Return
EndIf
You can see that I commented out the line just below my name so I can find the
change.
I have only done limited testing but so far so good.
You can give it a try.
Regards
Tom Bisset

Hello Tom;
I have been trying to figure this out for some time now!
Even though I have my email set to html, Every time I open a message I hear,
The subject, and then, Message plain text.
If you open a message,
Rout jaws to pc,
Go to top of message,
You will see a line with subjectline, and the following, Message (plain text)

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 14 announcing message type in outlook 2010
Hi, I want to stop jaws from announcing the message type when opening an email
in outlook 2010 but I can't find where this can be done.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Tom Bisset
