I use the heading h command a lot and still don't always find an easy way to see results since some look-up things have sponsored adds and others do not so setting a temporary place marker isn't a great option either. I sure do wish Accessible Google had not been taken down, I used it almost daily at work no muss, no clutter, just the things I needed in a hurry for my job, mostly medications or surgical tools, catheters, etc. Time is of the essence in my work since they have production standards and if I can spend one minute getting results instead of 5 lumbering through all the stuff Google wants to put between the edit field and the results the better it is for me. When you open Google you should automatically be positioned at the search field because the focus is forced there, and JAWS respects forced focus edit controls. So, you don't need to use flexible web to do anything there - simply visit google.com and your cursor should be placed on the edit field. Depending on your verbosity settings you may hear "press ENTER for forms mode," or if auto forms mode is set to on then you should be placed in forms mode automatically and can begin typing. The search results pages are a different matter though. Search for something on Google and move into the search results. Then create a new flexible web rule with JAWSKey+SPACE, X. The "Create a new customization" radio button should already be selected, so hit ENTER to move on. You don't want to hide anything, you want to start reading somewhere; so select the second radio button on the next page and hit ENTER. Now it's asking where exactly you want to be placed. There should be various options, but the search results are all in a list so the list option will most likely do the trick. On the next screen, "start at any list with ID = reso" should do the trick. This should be a consistent ID for all the lists containing Google search results. So select that option and hit ENTER to activate the finish button.. Now we need to save that rule. Hit JAWSKey+Space, X again to enter the flexible web settings, and select the "Save temporary customizations as a rule" radio button. Enter any name you want for this rule and make sure the customization you just made is checked in the list of customizations that will form part of this rule. Since you've only created one, it should be the only one in the list of customizations and it should be checked. There's nothing else you need to change here. You want this applied whenever a Google search results page is loaded, and the default option is to apply your rule to the current site. So just hit ENTER to finish. Bingo, now whenever you search on Google you should automatically be in the list of results. Give it a shot and let us know if you need further clarification on this very cool feature.
