Three methods:

1. Pressing spacebar on the button.

2. Use the forms dialog and arrow to the button and tab to Ok and press enter.

3. See if you can left-click the button with the mouse.

4. Try a demo of a different screen-reader. I've found times whtn I could activate a button or clickable object with Win-Eyes when Jaws didn't work, and vice vedrsa.

And, of course, there are occasional sites where the thing just isn't accessible. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Martin" <[email protected]>

Stephanie:

I have come across this several times and, as aggravating as it is, I have not found anyone who can tell me an alternative for activating these buttons. The most common activation methods are hitting the space bar and pressing enter. A majority of these button issues is due to the website developers, if I am not mistaken. Unfortunately, all I can offer is understanding of your aggravation, but no real help. If you figure this one out, please let me know too, so we will both no longer be in the dark.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] buttons on web pages not working

Hello all,
Once in awhile I come across buttons that don't work on some web pages. I hit enter and nothing happens. Anyone come across this?? Is there another way to click on a button without using the mouse?
Thanks,
Stephanie
