Hi, if you want a shortcut for shutdown in windows 8, you could use the following text: shutdown /s /hybrid /t 0 Note that including /hybrid is so that you get a fast start following the shutdown and this is specific to windows 8, and /t 0 means that the shutdown is immediate, whereas the default is 30 seconds.
