Thank you for the response. I have a Lenovo I5 laptop and have sent that 
information to Ric and Tim who will most probably come up with a solution for 
this make of laptop.

On my notebook the keystroke is f-n+f9.
All laptops are probably different.

I use JAWS 13 with windows 7 on a laptop but find the touch pad on the laptop a 
nuisance as my left thumb tends to occationally touch it while working changing 
the focus.



Is there perhaps a way of disabling the touch pad on a modern laptop?
