Hi I have read that JAWS startup can be somewhat speeded up by changing some options in the JAWS basic settings dialog found in the JAWS Options menu. Ensure that the following option is not checked, unless you want to use that option.
Automatically start Pac Mate desktop. And in the Advanced Options dialog, just before the OK button, uncheck any of the following options you won't be using. Try remote access speech on startup Try remote access Braille on startup Use Authorization from Pac Mate Enable remote access client Enable remote access server And be sure the last option, Run JAWS without speech, is unchecked.
