Hi Lenny,
Please don't take what Hans said as gospel, especially since you never
mentioned what type of computer your grandson is brining into the house.
If it's a desktop, then it may not have a wireless card already included in
the system.
If it's a laptop, then it most likely does, but even that you can' rely on
until you look at the specs of the computer.
Having said that, you can purchase external USB wireless adapters from
places like Amazon.com, buy.com or tigerdirect.com for as little as $15 USD,
and as high as $95 USD, depending on what you're looking for in an adapter.
The added benefit of a wireless adapter is that you can pretty much take it
anywhere with you, so you aren't relegated to just your home Wi-Fi. If he's
got a laptop, he can take it to a wireless hotspot such as McDonalds or
Pizza Hut and use theirs.
Be aware that most laptops nowadays come with pre-installed Wi-Fi cards, so
make sure, if it is a laptop, that it does not have a wireless adapter
before you go out and purchase one.
Good luck.
Scorpio
