[They are different.] You could decrease the punctuation level setting in JAWS Options basics, or you could (in the Customize Punctuation dialogue, which you can get to via the Settings Center. Type punctuation, and this will be one of the results.) - customize whether JAWS speaks or mutes punctuation signs. (The radiobuttons you tab to from the list of signs there do the oposite of what you might expect: If you choose the ALL radiobutton it means Mute All for the sign to which it applies; NONE means Mute None.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicole Valicia Thompson-Andrews" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 28, 2013 10:16 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Brackets > How do I get Jaws to stop saying brackets and dot in doc com? > > > > I changed it to try and critique a manuscript I'm no longer reading, > now I > can't change it back. > > > > Pen name: > > Mellissa Green > > Blog > > > > www.theworldofyemora.wordpress.com > > > > Twitter > > @GreenNovelist > > > > For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: > http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ > For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
