Hi Mich, If it is going to cost that much to upgrade and old machine, I would spend about another $150 and purchase a new one with the Windows 7 64-bit operating system already installed. Unless you require something special for high-end computing work such as video editing, gaming or a server, an off-the-shelf box should be more than adequate. In any case, your license for Jaws will cover the 64-bit version. HTH, Rick Justice
