I agree with my partner, you don't need the proprietary software at all.

Hi Pete,
No, you shouldn't need the software.
You should be able to just copy your files.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Questions about external back-up drive
Hi all.
I just purchased a Seagate external drive on which to back up files
currently on my computer.
If it helps, I am currently using Jaws 11, and Windows XP.
Do I have to install the Seagate Dash-board file in order to use my drive?
If so, is this software accessible.
If I don't have to install the software that came with this drive, can I
just start copying files to the drive?
Thanks in advance.
Pete
