LeDon, Are you using first letter navigation or whatever it's called. H for headers to jump to a section, also the letter N pressed several times seems to work good for me as well. I am not using IE 11 though, but am using Jaws 15.

When I find a headline and want to read the story and follow the link jaws quits talking. If I wait for a time jaws will start talking again. But I can not find the story because every time I try to do anything on the page jaws quits talking again. It is flustrating because I use to navigate these pages with ease. So I recently updated my computer to windows seven and IE 11. I think that it might be a problem with IE11. I am running jaws 14 and have ben running it for a long time now. And as I said, every thing worked before updating windows and IE. Any ideas? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bissett, Tom Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2014 3:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 15.0.7023 not speaking When my jaws stops speaking I can do nothing to bring it back other than rebooting. I have gone in and stopped the JFW service and restarted it but it still doesn't speak. I have not figured out what is causing this behaviour. My braille display quits as well. I have a hotkey for jaws and can bring it back that way. Just a little annoying though. I have experienced this when I surf IE 11 and other programs also but mostly IE 11. jaws will just quit speaking and the only way to get jaws to speak again is to reboot. I've contacted FS about this but have not received a reply. > email is golden ! > Kevinlee > For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: > http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ > For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: > http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
