I understand if there in the same directory the JAWS exe will pick up the other 
if there is no internet connection.

Putting them in the same directory is fine, but the two programs require two 
separate installations, unless you're using the master disk.  The latter 
installation takes some time, but should work.

Not sure what may have occurred.  Here is the note from FS...
Note: During JAWS installation, the files required to use Convenient OCR are 
automatically downloaded and installed. If you will be installing JAWS on a 
computer that does not have Internet access and you wish to use the Convenient 
OCR feature, you will also need to copy the FSOCR13.0.1512ENU.EXE file to  the 
same location as the JAWS executable before beginning the installation.

Could your internet have dropped out during installation?

Hi,

I have installed the latest build of Jaws 16 Professional on a WINDOWS 7
64 Bit Laptop and, when trying to use the new functionality, to read an 
inaccessible PDF document, I'm told that the OCR Component is not installed. I 
would have thought it would have been included in the main JAWS install? What 
do I need to do to get this working?

Any help/advice is gratefully received.
