No, nothing like that.
And I, too, like to keep just the current and previous versions. That means that I probably have bits and pieces of 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the registry and who knows where else?

I'm still using 15 as well because 16 never installed right, even after
consulting FS. 16 installed as if already merged with 15 or who knows
what version, since my 4-year old laptop started with JAWS 9 or 10.
16 never went down to that normal slow rate of speech at first
installation, and all the keys that I usually silence at
installation--tab, escape, enter, were already silent.
Shared components, ugh.

You describe the angst of a careful but intrepid JAWS user. My turn
will come next year when I uninstall J15. The talking installer these
days is separate from the JAWS program and need to be uninstalled
individually. I had a bunch of them in a string before recently
removing them. Just clutter with no damage.

Thank you, I wish I had read this before I almost had a mini heart

It's just so unnerving to hear jaws in his drunk mode and stuck, thanks
to
window's update window popping up.
I didn't uninstall the shared components, I didn't uninstall J13 either,
sigh
I do like it through the programs/features better though. I did uninstall
j12 talking installer, don't ask me why that was there when not even j12
full version was, that's an embarrassing mistake on my part.
I typically like to have just 2 versions on my systems only, so I needed
to
do some clean up here.
I was fretting after rebooting, I wouldn't have speech this was cause of
my
first attemp going through the jaws uninstaller, drunk jaws says...your
40
minute demo has expired, well what the heck, I have full paid version
here,
so dunno what that was all about.
Thankfully j15 came back talking after reboot, so I just went through
P/F,
and heck didn't even loose speech while that happened, huge relief!

Trish,
I do not believe it really makes a difference. The important thing is
whether you want to uninstall the shared components. Personally, I always
choose no to this because if there are other programs relying on those
shared components they will not work correctly. If anyone else on the
list
has other information, or does not find what I am saying correct, please
clarify.

    Best,
Alan

I need to know which is the best way to remove jaws from my window's 7
laptop?

Do I do it through the control panel/programs-features or, through Jaws
on
start menu uninstall?

Thanks for any help,

Trish
