Hi Steve, Try the following to clear the Run history manually: 1. Open the 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties' window. You can do it in two ways: Press the Windows Key to open the start menu, press escape to close & put you on the start button, Right-click the Start button and select Properties Or you can open the Start menu, select Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization, and then click Taskbar and Start Menu
2. In the Start menu tab and in the Privacy area uncheck the 'Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu' option. If you need to clear recently opened files, uncheck 'Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar' so to clear the run dialog history, you uncheck the box which reads; Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu Apply & okay your changes Note: I forgot to mention, if you want to re-build your run dialog history, you'll need to go back and re-check the box, Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu Take care.
