I used to use Word a lot with Tables producing footnotes for financial reports but no longer do those type of reports. I do not ever remember seeing a way to remove the table (borders) and without removing the text. Besides if you did the text would become a jumble without the table to hold the spacing. However, there is a way to make the table lines invisible both on screen and for printing. George
