Hi George,

Well, yes I did sort of manually upgrade it. I signed into Office.com, clicked on the link that indicated that it was where you could get the new version, clicked on the link on this page that read "Upgrade Now", or something similar, and I got the Run or save dialogue. I opted to run the installation, and it then installed itself. It was just that easy. Once the installation completed, I did think that something had not gone just right, because I was still showing the Office 2013 applications in my start menu. But, after a minute, the computer restarted itself, and all of this changed to Office 2016. You will have to go to your desktop and delete all of the old shortcuts for these apps, and create new ones from the Program Files folder, or from the menu you get when you right click an empty spot on the desktop, and then select "Personalize".

You had to manually upgrade it?
I was told that it was automatic when the new version came out and to get
the new copy on my computer I had to manually download it but if I used it
in the clouds it was automatically there after the new release.

I just upgraded my Office 365 subscription from 2013 to 2016. Everything
seems to be working well. The applications open very quickly and so far no
troubles. I have read about the new features now available in the different
applications, but have not tried any of them out yet. I will be doing some
of this within the next couple of days. Running Windows 10 by the way. There
seems to be no complications with JAWS 16, I checked on the compatibility
before upgrading, and was told that there should be full compatibility.
