Don,

Happens quite frequently here with both builds of 17. I have
reported this annoyance to FS and would encourage all on
this list to do so. More concerns they here, the more apt
they are to track down the issue and fix.

Best,
Al

Hi all,

Have you tried the update of JAWS 17 that came out
on Thursday? I am using it and I do find it much better than
the first build of 17; however, it does cut out now and
then, but it comes right back much more quickly.

Truthfully, I wish even this brief crashing would
stop.

        Don

To my machine it works fine with Jaws 16 and never crashes
at all.
If you are having problem with Jaws 17, why don't you try
with Jaws 16!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 17 problem

Hi List,

I am new to this list, but I have been using JAWS for
Windows since version 3.5.

Since I upgraded to JAWS 17, I am having a problem that I
had when I first installed JAWS 16 last year; that problem
got fixed in the first revision of JAWS 16.

The problem is that JAWS 17keeps crashing without warning
when I am using Outlook 2013, Internet Explorer 11 and Word
2013. Sometimes it comes right back; other times I have to
press Windows m to get JAWS back; still other times, I have
to unload JAWS with Insert F4 and then use my hot key,
Control alt j, to bring JAWS back.

I finally gave up last night and went back to JAWS
16 until this gets fixed.

Any help or insight will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Don
