Hi Vicky,

If you open Word 2013 using a shortcut icon, yes you can. Try the
following:
1. Let's say your Word icon is on the desktop & you also have a shortcut
keystroke assigned to it. Highlight the Word icon & press, Alt + Enter, to
open its properties.
2. Tab to the, Run dialogue, & arrow up / down to maximize.
3. Tab to, Apply, press the spacebar, tab to the, Okay button, press enter
to save & close.

Now whenever you press enter on this icon or, use the shortcut keystroke
assigned to this icon to open Word 2013, it will open in the maximized
state.
Take care.
Mike

Is there any way to permanently maximize the Word 2013 window in Windows 7?

Many thanks!
Vicky

If you are using Windows 10, try tapping Windows + Up Arrow twice to make
sure Outlook 2013 is actually maximized. That may help.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem navigating in Word 2013

Hi.

I am running Jaws 17.0.1214 and Word 2013.

This problem seems to happen no matter which version of Jaws I am using.

If I use my arrow keys to read down or up line by line, many times, when I
reach a page boundary word jumps to the page following the one I want to get
too.

For example, if I am at the end of page 5, and press down arrow, word jumps
me to the top of page 7.

The only way I can get to page 6 is to use the control key with page up or
down.

Even if I use just the page up or page down keys by themselves, word skips
over a page.

I can't seem to determine if this is a Jaws issue, or if there is some
setting within word I must change.

Any help or advice great fully appreciated.

Phil
