I'm a little behind here, but how do you get it to maximize when you typically
click directly on word docs to open them instead of an icon and then opening
your doc?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi,
If you have an icon for word on your desktop go to hit and hit the space bar
to highlight it and then hit the application key. Then arrow up once to
properties. Enter on properties and tab down tell you hear run combo box.
Change this to maximize then tab down to ok then hit enter.

Is there any way to permanently maximize the Word 2013 window in Windows 7?

Many thanks!
Vicky

If you are using Windows 10, try tapping Windows + Up Arrow twice to make sure
Outlook 2013 is actually maximized. That may help.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem navigating in Word 2013

Hi.

I am running Jaws 17.0.1214 and Word 2013.

This problem seems to happen no matter which version of Jaws I am using.

If I use my arrow keys to read down or up line by line, many times, when I
reach a page boundary word jumps to the page following the one I want to get
too.

For example, if I am at the end of page 5, and press down arrow, word jumps me
to the top of page 7.

The only way I can get to page 6 is to use the control key with page up or down.

Even if I use just the page up or page down keys by themselves, word skips over
a page.

I can't seem to determine if this is a Jaws issue, or if there is some setting
within word I must change.

Any help or advice great fully appreciated.

Phil
