Hi Dave,

Thank you so much for the hint about how to identify the USB 3.0 port. I had not noticed that before, but sure as heck, I could easily tell them apart based upon your description. The 3.0 port will come in handy for my external backup hard drive, which I know is 3.0 compatible.

No, they are all the same shape. You can plug a 2.0 into a 3.0 and
vice-versa. You can feel the difference with your fingers. The 2.0 port is
pretty open but the 3.0 port feels like there are contacts right up to the
edge of the opening.
